Shame becomes neutralized when met with self-accep Shame becomes neutralized when met with self-acceptance and self-compassion. 

Whenever somebody tries to take your power by judging you and wanting to make you feel ashamed, remember that only those who feel small and powerless use shame to control you. 

Then ask yourself these four questions: 

👉 Does this person really know who I am? 
👉 What does this judgment tell me about them? 
👉 How would I feel if I would not take on this judgment? 
👉 What do I want to believe instead?

Spread positivity: 

In the face of judgment and shame, let's shift our focus to uplifting beliefs. 

🙌 Share one empowering belief that you choose to embrace instead of allowing others' judgments to affect you.

Trying to empower yourself with a rigid mind is li Trying to empower yourself with a rigid mind is like trying to run a marathon while being tied to a post. 

You expend all your energy without getting anywhere. Therefore keeping your mind flexible and open is an essential part of self-empowerment. 

𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗯𝘆:

🙌 Mixing up your routines (e.g. change your route to work, have a different breakfast, buy yourself a gift, just for fun). 

🙌 Turning negative self-talk on its head (e.g. “I look bad today” to “I look awesome” – “My boss doesn’t like me” to “My boss loves and needs me.”) – 

Expecting to be pleasantly surprised instead of getting disappointed or having another ‘blah’ day. 

👉 👉 Often, all it takes is a greater degree of flexibility in our thinking and feeling to reclaim our power and freedom.

Negative thoughts - are something that many of us Negative thoughts - are something that many of us have at one point or another in our lifetime — and over time, they can contribute to feelings of anxiety.

When helping people overcome anxiety, I encourage them to write down negative thoughts that occur throughout the day - whether they be anxious, insecure, or self-deprecating. 

Initially, clients may fill an entire booklet with such thoughts, but as they learn to counter them, the booklets become shorter and shorter until they frequently report having no negative thoughts at all. 

To monitor progress on your own personal walk to overcome negative thoughts, pay attention to the frequency of your questioning, self-doubt, or fear-based thoughts. 

If these begin to fade or disappear, you, too, can be confident that you’re making progress in the right direction.
